 About WhyNot FashionsWhy Not Fashions was conceived by Amalia Da Silva who came to Spain from Brazil in 1993. Amalia was always closely involved with the fashion industry with her career in modeling. She quickly realized that there was a market in Europe for Brazilian designs and fabrics.
In 1994 she opened a small boutique called "Why Not" near Marbella on the southern coast of Spain and sourced a range of clothes with an emphasis on glamour, quality and price.
Initially Amalia imported her entire range from Brazil which was sold through her retail outlets. The boutique was an immediate success and she subsequently opened a further two retail outlets and one wholesale showroom.
Gradually Amalia increased her product range to include club and dance clothing, bikinis, Shoes and accessories.
In 2001 she decided to manufacture her own range of designs and develop the "Why Not" label. She initially produced a range of Ladies glamour jeans which were made from a specialized stretch fabric which have now become an established and popular label.
Currently, Amalia has two workshops in Europe producing her unique range of clothing.
In 2005 the “Why Not” website was launched to give worldwide exposure of her collection at affordable prices.
